UPSC CMS 2026 Educational Qualification

Candidates must have passed the final M.B.B.S examination (written and practical) from a recognized university or institution.

Candidates who are appearing in the final year MBBS examination are also eligible to apply, but they must submit proof of passing before the interview stage.

Candidates must have completed the compulsory rotating internship before final appointment.

Only valid documents such as Degree Certificate / Final Marksheet / Provisional Degree issued by the university will be accepted as proof of qualification.

Hidden Features of UPSC CMS Exam 2026
The UPSC Combined Medical Services (CMS) examination is conducted by the Union Public Service Commission to recruit Medical Officers in Central Government departments such as Central Health Service, Railways, NDMC and MCD. Candidates must qualify the written examination followed by a personality test to get final selection.
